Blocking dates

Close a space for a private event, a refit or a bank holiday.

Block a date when a space should not be booked, even though the room still exists. A wedding you are taking by hand, a refit, or a day the venue is closed are the usual reasons.

Close the date

Open the space and block the date, or the session, that must stay closed. Guests using online booking are not offered that session. A session that is only blocked for the afternoon can still be booked in the morning.

A block is not a booking. It does not take a deposit and it does not email a guest. When the date is free again, remove the block and the session goes back on sale.

If the room is already booked, change or cancel that booking first. A block does not move a guest who is already confirmed.
